About Organization
Trevessu is a nonprofit organisation based in Sardinia (Italy). The association was established on 10 September 2015 thanks to a group of young people from Iglesias who, following experiences gained in Europe and abroad, decided to import into their hometown those innovative development models observed elsewhere, based on bottom-up action and the development of the local community. Trevessu's mission is to become the main vector of social and urban innovation in the Sulcis Iglesiente region, offering community support and tools for developing cultural, artistic, ecological and territorial enhancement projects. Today, the association aligns with European priorities and policies, particularly the European Green Deal, Europe fit for the digital age, and the Youth Goals (6, 8, 9, 10, 11). The main activities and projects carried out were: - ecological days of cleaning parks and beaches - urban gardening - collaborations with the Iglesias book fair - recycling and street furniture creation workshop - social dinners - conversion of telephone booths into bookcrossing hubs - art projects, photo galleries - digital tools training for vulnerable groups - podcasts
