Society for Cerebral and Infantile Paralysis Ivanjica

Society for Cerebral and Infantile Paralysis Ivanjica1 is a socio-humanitarian organization founded in 2002 at initiative of persons with disabilities and groups of parents of children with disabilities. The society gathers around 70 people with disabilities and provides them with various forms of support. According to his own organizational form is an association of citizens, non-governmental, of a non-profit and non-partisan character with legal status faces. The Company's field of activity is work with children, young people and adults with cerebral palsy, polio/ developmental disabilities/disabilities. In accordance with the tendency of global cohesion at the national level, the mission and vision of the Organization were defined. The mission of the Society for CDP Ivanjica is to provide support to people with developmental disabilities/disabilities, their families and experts on the territory of the Republic of Serbia. The vision of the organization is the elimination of prejudices and social inclusion a person with developmental disabilities. In accordance with personnel capacities, the work of the Organization is structured so that all teams they act in synergy and make up one comprehensive system support for people with developmental disabilities and disabilities in in the sense of prevention of social ostracism, stigmatization and improvement of social inclusion as a whole. The Society carries out its work through integrative, psychosocial and educational programs. Many have been launched social inclusion programs for children, youth and adults with developmental disabilities/disabilities. A series of accredited trainings was conducted for various actors in this social process, which informed the local community about the needs and way of functioning of persons with developmental disabilities/disabilities.Through education systems and the work of volunteers, parents/guardians were educated in order to be partners in the process of including and remaining persons with disabilities in the local community. In accordance with rich experience in the realization of wide spectrum of activities had a direct effect on raising the quality of life of persons with developmental disabilities/disabilities and their families. Education, project activities, accredited training programs, mentoring and supervisions have been affected to social changes in the Republic of Serbia and to improvement quality of life and work of persons with developmental disabilities/ disability.
