About Organization
Our school forms an educational community of almost 220 people (about 200 students and 20 employees). The pedagogical structure consists of 8 divisions (2 classes of 5th grade, 2 classes of 6th grade, 2 classes of 7th grade and 2 classes of 8th grade) with an average of 20 students per class. While preparing our students academically for a higher education institution, we are trying to build a better future for our society based on universal values. Most of our students come from families who migrated from the east part of the country. While they are trying to maintain their own traditions at home, they are also trying to adapt to the culture they have met. The parents usually do not have regular jobs. As seasonal workers, they work in the cotton fields or in construction jobs. As a result, their economic levels are low. Our school has become an eTwinning school in 2021. This made a great contribution to the internationalization of our school. Working on eTwinning projects has enabled us to use online tools effectively. Our school was awarded with five National quality labels and five European quality labels on the eTwinning platform in the previous school year. Our first Erasmus+ experience has been a KA210 small-scale partnership formed with schools from Spain and France. This project took two years and we successfully completed the project this November. The emphasis of the project was universal cultural heritage and intercultural dialogue within and outside the EU. While focusing on these main issues, we tried to suggest solutions for social inclusion and coping with early school leaving throughout the activities. We hosted three students from Spain at our homes, and then three students from our school spent five days in Spain, as well. This project made a great contribution to our teachers, students and even parents with all the awareness it created.
