About Organization
Ungerådet (The Youth Council) is a local group of young people in the age 13 to 18 years old. Our group is located in the western part of Aarhus (the second biggest city in Denmark) and is engaged in making everyday life better for young people in the area. We arrange events and activities for children and young people in the area, we support and co-host local events, and we are active in local debates and political events. Furthermore we go on trips to see more of our society and is eager to go see more of Europe. This fall we are working with social media and the digital life, and if possible, we would like to work with this theme as part of the exchange. Themes as the good life online, online/offline balance, rules of online communication and knowledge about advertisement and fake news could be themes for the exchange. It could be through dilemma games, forum theater, facilitated reflection exercises and activities in the local area. Besides that we are open to ideas! Our main purpose is to experience other cultures and meet young people to exchange ideas with. We are aiming for an exchange in the winter holidays 2025 (around the 7th-13th of February). Approximately 10-12 members of Ungerådet will participate in the exchange. The young people of Ungerådet will be a big part of the planning process through workshops during the fall and winter. We are three employees facilitating and supporting the group. If you could be interested in planning an exchange together please let us know! We hope to hear from you.
