About Organization
The Transylvanian Youth Center (TYC), established in 2008, is a non-profit organization based in Gheorgheni, Romania, dedicated to empowering young people through various local and international youth programs. Our primary goal has been to create and sustain a youth center that serves as a hub for youth development activities, fostering personal growth, skill-building, and community engagement. Over the years, we have actively participated in Erasmus+ and Youth in Action programs, organizing youth exchanges, training courses, and community projects that focus on leadership, communication, career management, and civic participation. We are particularly committed to supporting disadvantaged and marginalized youth, helping them gain valuable skills and opportunities for personal and professional development. Our projects, such as the Discover EU solidarity initiative, are designed to enhance employability and social inclusion, while fostering intercultural understanding and combating prejudice. Additionally, we have led numerous initiatives that combine mental health awareness with creative expression, such as our "Let’s Paint Dreams!" program, which uses art to promote community cohesion and personal well-being. Our team consists of dedicated professionals, including sociologists, social workers, psychologists, and educators, all of whom bring extensive experience in youth development. We work closely with local and international partners to design and implement impactful projects, ranging from sustainability and mental health to community building and intercultural dialogue. Through these efforts, the Transylvanian Youth Center continues to be a dynamic force for positive change in the lives of young people and the broader community.
