About Organization
The Spatial Information Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the use of spatial information technologies for global sustainability and social development. Inspired by the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — a universal call to protect the planet, promote peace, and ensure prosperity for all — the Association works to support each of these goals through innovative spatial data practices. From gender equality to climate action, the Association engages in projects that leverage spatial technologies to collect, store, and analyze data essential for understanding and solving global challenges. By integrating geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and advanced data analysis tools, the Spatial Information Association aims to transform data into actionable insights, empowering decision-makers, researchers, and communities to build a more sustainable and resilient world. Our mission is to promote collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing in the field of spatial information — contributing to a future where technology and humanity coexist in balance with the planet.
