MicroCosmo is a certified multifunctional organic farm located in Central Italy (Umbria Region). Established in 2016, it specialises in and is dedicated to sustainable, civic, and multifunctional agriculture. Its primary activity is the cultivation and sale of vegetables, marketed mainly through direct sales and ethical purchasing groups. The farm's multifunctional nature is demonstrated by making its workspaces available to host research, adult education and innovation projects on organic and social farming, as well as the protection of agrobiodiversity. Additionally, it offers training programs and employment services for disadvantaged individuals, as well as school-to-work transition programs for students with disabilities. MicroCosmo has experience participating in European (Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps) and local projects. It maintains an extensive network of organizations, including other organic farms, civil society groups, and universities. In some periods the farm hosts ESC volunteers and participants of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program.
