About Organization
Associação Unidigrazz is a youth cultural collective based in Algueirão-Mem Martins, in the Sintra area of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, Portugal. Since 2021 it has worked through participatory artistic practices, cultural mediation and community activation in the urban peripheries of Sintra. The collective has run Ponto Kultural, a centre for artistic creation, research, training and experimentation, supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the local parish council and Sintra's municipal government. Ponto Kultural's programme includes youth artistic residencies, youth creation grants for emerging artists, youth training workshops, exhibitions, listening parties, film screenings and community roundtables, working mainly with and for young people aged 15 to 35 across the peripheral neighbourhoods of the Sintra area. Unidigrazz treats these territories as active sites of cultural production, not as areas lacking culture, and is currently seeking international partners to develop a youth co-operation project with the Council of Europe's European Youth Foundation.
