YUVA

YUVA is a youth group working with young people in Manisa Turkey. The group is determined to bring lasting positive impact to the youth life in their region and believes in strengthening their capacity to improve their life standard. To define what youth needs we closely work with regional organizations and according to the data we have gathered, we update our priority areas for youth. YUVA guides youth in their region in terms of helping Youth; a) to improve their personal development b) to make them reach educational and training opportunities c) to encourage them to participate in civic and democratic life d) to connect them across and beyond the EU to promote volunteering, learn abroad, and develop an intercultural understanding e) to improve their employability YUVA is a youth group, determined to bring lasting positive impact to young people’s lives in their region by engaging, connecting, and empowering them. Yuva has been carrying out activities in line with our goals across our region especially for youth. We have experience in several topics as well as informal education and training. The most outstanding ones are : 1) Volunteering 2) Entrepreneurship 3) Young immigrants 4) Healthy life 5) Environmental awareness and 6) Human rights. Yuva, has been encouraging youth in terms of personal development, taking an active part in public, democratic citizenship, volunteering, and mobility of them. In addition to this, our youth activities support sports and healthy lifestyles, the development of the potential of youth with different social and ethnic backgrounds, and those who have a disability. One way to realize these is to attend various national and international projects as well as to carry out activities with other organizations and/or networks. Our activities target to help youth integrate with the society they participate in, realize their full potential and contribute to lessening the growing youth unemployment and guide them in terms of how they can hone their knowledge and skills to be able to gain the necessary qualities to live in metropoles and even abroad. We also contribute more to the active citizenship of youth, intercultural dialogue, and support between people to strengthen social cohesion in our region. The activities we carry out help youth to take part in volunteering which enables them to gain valuable skills and informal learning opportunities that allow them to find their way in society. Our region is one the most densely covered with trees areas and we take nature and ecological issues very seriously. We organized several projects related to ecological issues besides attending similar projects. Yuva has been implementing local projects for youth, giving a hand to the implementation stage of other organizations' projects and sharing both national and international experiences, and sending youth and youth workers to the Erasmus+ projects organized abroad which is one of the main motivations sources for all our members and young people working with us. In addition to this, we also attend both local, national, and international projects to improve our knowledge and update ourselves. Starting from the beginning, Yuva has actively taken part in local, national, and international projects. Moreover, we created a considerable number of networks across the EU with the work we have done so far and now we would be able to use this network for our current projects and the projects we have been planning for the upcoming calls.
