Hässlehus Youth Club

Hässlehus Youth Club is located in a multicultural neighbourhood in the city of Borås; the majority of our visitors have a foreign background. We use different methods, such as hip-hop and dj, to integrate these youngsters in swedish society. The international work is an important tool for the integration and a big part of our work. Through the international activities our visitors feel involved in the society and they feel that they are representing their town and also Sweden. Hässlehus has approx. 200 members in the age of 10-20 years. Youngsters come to the youth club to meet their friends, play pool, hang out in the café, take part in boy- and girlsgroups, dance and dj-classes and join different activities in the club. They can also meet adults, the youth club workers, and together with them develop different local, national and international projects.
