Circles, Center for Education, Counselling and Charitable Work

The aim of the Centre is to promote, improve and support the personal development of the individual through education and research of their own resources and talents to use them in the best way possible. Center is also developing the culture of free time, improving lives and society as a whole and helping the charity (collecting cash and material resources) for malignant patients, especially children, socially disadvantaged families and other socially disadvantaged groups (particularly those with poor health) to improve the quality of life and living. The Centre operates on the area of Novi Zagreb bringing together different professions: pedagogues, psychologists, social workers, sociologists, communicologists, Gestalt therapists, workers with the knowledge of palliative care, physiotherapists. Our team consists of 6 persons, 8 external professional gestalt therapists and supervisors and more than 30 active national volunteers. We focus our work in the way to help all social disadvantaged groups: 1. Old people, children, and young people who are suffering from malignant diseases, users of the Centre for Social Care 2. Elder and disabled people, living in bad social conditions 3. Working with local and international volunteers 4. Children in schools: sick children, with lower social skills, national minority, victims of the violence or kids with behaviour disorder 5. Youngsters: suffering from cancer, who are socially disadvantaged, living in bad social conditions and other youngsters 6. Support for the family members for socially disadvataged people 7. Collaboration with educational institutions, health centres, centres for social care, similar associations, local community Our regular activities provide help for our target groups in order to raise personal potential, awareness, improve life conditions and equal participation in the local community: - psyhosocial care for sick, elder and disabled people, also people and children suffering from cancer (group and individual therapy support, transport to the health and social centres, house help and care, providing informations and helping elder people to achieve ther rights, improving life conditions) - charity work in our Donation centre, on open manifestations and shopping centres (gathering donations in order to provide financial help for users suffering from cancer, living in bad social conditions) - educations, group work, animations, counselling, brochures and campaings for anti bullying programmes, social inclusion for excluded kids, parents and teachers - educations and supervisions for volunteers and people who work with social disadvantaged groups - educations, campaings and brochures for supporting hospital staff in order to provide help for people who work with users who have malignant diseases - creative work, making clothes, jewllery and ornaments in order to start social entrepreneurship - organizing open space manifestations, providing information and finding new users, volunteers and rising awareness of the local community - collaborating nationaly and internationaly with donators, partners and similar institutions/associations in order to provide help for our target groups You tube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCP3n8L-HroK2AjbhJFFQDrg web: http://www.krugovi.hr/ blog: http://www.voluntary-circles.com/ FB pages: https://www.facebook.com/udruga.krugovi/ https://www.facebook.com/EVS-Krugovi-The-impossible-is-often-the-untried-1/
