MJC de Flers

The association offers a non-formal education program of artistic and cultural activities like music, dance, graphic arts, wellness (Yoga, Qi Gong), fitness and drama, focusing on group dynamics. Through such activities people from 2 to 99 years old can discover new hobbies, new interests, enjoy and improve themselves, meet others and take part in collective experiences such as performances and concerts. We also help youngsters to develop their projects and we support their initiatives. 1100 members take part in the regular activities proposed by the organisation each season from September until June. Among them, 18 people are engaged in the Board of the ONG. We have 22 employees and host each year 2 European Volunteers, 1 French Volunteer and around 15 trainees. We are involved in more than 30 partnerships in local and international level for cultural, artistic and youth projects. We inform 600 young people about mobility each year and accompany around 100 of them in local or mobility projects. Our values of open-mindedness, conviviality, interculturality, citizenship, participatory democracy, are expressed through actions like youth exchanges and international meetings organised by the ONG since 17 years.
