Fractals Educación Artística

Fractals Educación Artistica is an association from Valencia, Spain, that developes a project of glocal development from an intersectional perspective and specialized in art methodologies. Using different art languages, we give tools to different collectives (specially intercultural groups of youth) for their self-empowerment and for contributing to social development. The association is composed by 3 youth workers followed by 20 youth professionals in social areas (from psicology, social education, pedagogy, youthwork, politic sciences... ) and art (architecture, fine arts, parkour, art education, art history, design...). Therefore we combine art, education and politics to transform the context into a more cohesive and equitable society. For this we develop participatory methodologies, network collaboration and care in Sankofa Espai Intercultural. The methodology that Fractals uses is based on the latest learning theories and artistic trends, unifying in an intervention of an integral and community nature. Thus, through techniques such as photography, the creation of documentaries or collage, the population educates its gaze with a critical perspective and becomes a transformer of its discourse, generating a new tangible order through art.
