About Organization
IRIDA is a youth organization founded in 2018 in Novi Sad, Serbia by three youth workers with the desire to encourage young people to activism in the field of gender equality. However, IRIDA is much more than that today. IRIDA is represented by us, young people, who ask questions, encourage discussions, and do not accept to ignore what is bothering us. We have a clear goal towards which we fearlessly strive, and try to leave as big a mark as possible. It is not difficult for us to "break our tongue" and use gender-sensitive language, we do not think that feminism is a "bad word" and we will not turn our heads and remain silent about gender-based violence! We are ready to learn every day, follow the events around us and within us, shout loudly when we see injustice, but also give the biggest applause when we notice progress. IRIDA gathers all of us who think that it is important that every girl knows that she has a voice and that she is very important, that every boy can cry when he feels that way, that every woman gets support to fight for her future without violence, that every girl knows that her "no" is heard and that everyone's "no" is respected and respected, that each of us has the right and the opportunity to dream big dreams and make them come true! With the desire to present the importance of the fight for gender equality in our society primarily to young people, we organize various public events, campaigns on social networks and other types of projects. We try to convey important messages in the most creative and innovative ways possible, which means that we have great fun at IRIDI! As we truly believe that only with joint efforts we can make small steps that make a big difference, we invite you to embark on this great adventure with us and to step together towards a society where everyone is equal and safe!
