İzmir Wadokai is a young but fast-growing organisation, based in İzmir, Türkiye. Our main objective is to promote cross-sector integration and cooperation between civil society organisations, businesses, public institutions, and educational bodies, to facilitate innovation and the emergence of breakthrough solutions to societal challenges. The organisation is governed by an administrative council of 8 members, experts in the fields of academia, economics, finances, education and training, ICT, System design, health and sport, social and cultural sciences, youth, and project consultation etc. İzmir Wadokai has a vast collaboration coming from businesses, educational institutions, associations, public institutions, NGOs, and others. The organisation works in close partnership with organizations, institutions, and professionals from all over Europe, aiming at encouraging the international cooperation in the fields of science and education, culture and arts, tourism, and sustainable development. The organisation's headquarters are based in Folkart Towers, İzmir promoting innovation, consultation, training and career development, entrepreneurship, and excellence for the benefit of the local community. Our integration with this structure allows us to further expand our networks, create synergies and promote innovation in education and training. The expertise of the organization is focused on the following key areas: Youth, Adult Education and Training: The Association provides education and training in the areas of soft and transversal skills and competencies, such as Emotional Intelligence, Critical Thinking, Foreign Languages, Cultural Competences, Information and Digital Literacy, Employability, Change Management, Non-Formal Education and Project Cycle Management Training. We also provide technical training in Data management and analysis, Environment and Sustainable Development, and Planning, Community Development, Consultation and, Culture, Sustainable Development. İzmir Wadokai carries out awareness raising and training activities for young people and adults in the areas of Civic Participation, Community Building, volunteering and social engagement, citizens’ rights and freedoms. We also develop activities targeting socially vulnerable groups and are actively involved in Nurse care assistance and management for elderly, as well as coaching, professional training, educational support, and career orientation to young people with fewer opportunities. PETER BEACOCK MSc is the founding member of İzmir Wadokai– International Projects Leader/EU Climate Pact Ambassador, entrepreneur with over 20 years international project experience, (Masters) Social Sciences, TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) ‘Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE Lifelong Learning Sector).’Expert in the skills covering qualitative research, Questionnaire/Interviews, and analysis. Peter is skilled in key teaching pedagogical principles, their implications for teaching and learning in specialist area of inclusion and differentiation, formal/non formal/informal education, highly skilled in theoretical concepts of innovation, creativity in teaching, learning and their application to a specialist area. Qualified gym level 2 coach, BTECH multi sports coach, in the past represented England at karate. Specializes in inclusive Karate/Self-defense, attaining 3rd Dan black belt. Peter has worked with all abilities spanning 24 countries on current and previous Erasmus+ projects, including young people with learning, physical disabilities, fewer opportunities, and NEETs. Peter is also an expert in the skills covering critical/positive academic and social behavior within community development, its social setting, its diversity, cultural, traditional aspects. Peter has several published articles covering the subjects of Gender Equality in Sport, Mobility of Erasmus Students enhance employability, what it means to be a Professional in the Life-Long Sector, employability through the care work sector, covering topics of low skilled, disadvantaged, NEETs and those with disabilities and are all based on empowerment, employability, and entrepreneurship. Izmir Wadokai is a young company to Erasmus+ however, our UK sister company “KINGSTON WADOKAI UK” and its team have delivered and supported several KA1 YOUTH ERASMUS+ MOBILITY PROJECTS, which (BEAT IT! Cyber Bullyıng 2018), (EVA FEM2 Empowering Women 2018/19).’ (EmployABLE! 2017), SPORTIVATE, STREET GAMES, LIFEZONE, JACK IN THE BOX, CATZERO, SAINSBURY’S KIDS, ACTIVE WOMEN WEEK, and is currently working through Kingston Wadokai on KA1 “MODERN BALANCE” 2020-3-LT02-KA, KA2 “Creatıve Women ın Labour Market”2020-1-TR01-KA227-ADU-.
