About Organization
The International Trade and Health Tourism Federation (HTFED) is a platform for International Congress Events and Standard Healthcare and Tourism that was founded in Turkey in 2014. HTFED's primary objective is to discuss the latest technology and business goals in the healthcare sector, creating a network of leaders in the medical, spa, and alternative tourism industry. HTFED provides practical knowledge of the latest and most recent developments in healthcare, and provides an opportunity for medical tourism industry leaders from both local and global partnerships to meet and associate. Also the federation hosts an annual international conference in Turkey, lasting five days and nights, which invites between 300 to 500 young leaders, entrepreneurs, managers, inventors, and owners of international companies in the tourism and health industries from around the globe. The purpose of the conference is to facilitate discussions, exchange of opinions, and decision-making related to the promotion of free and barrier-free tourism, as well as providing equitable tourism opportunities for people worldwide. The conference aims to increase awareness and interest in tourism culture among diverse societies and countries while also eliminating tourism barriers between countries, especially in the Middle East. Practical strategies are being developed to reduce and remove tourism barriers between third world and first world countries so that people in the third world can enjoy free and fair tourism opportunities without discrimination. This will enable first world countries to provide equal tourism opportunities for all, irrespective of their origin or background. Health Tourism is the umbrella term for the subtypes: Wellness Tourism and Medical Tourism. Wellness Tourism aims to improve and balance all of the main domains of human life, including physical, mental, emotional, occupational, intellectual, and spiritual, while Medical Tourism involves the use of evidence-based medical healing resources and services, including diagnosis, treatment, cure, prevention, and rehabilitation. UTSAF (International Trade and Health Tourism Federation) membership allows accessibility to the global market of health, and patients and other people from different countries can submit requests for medical and health tourism services. UTSAF provides health care support services such as providing tickets via partner travel agencies, accommodation and hotel reservation in partner hotels, providing interpreters and tour leaders if necessary, and procurement of medical equipment and supplies required from medical equipment companies and pharmaceuticals, as well as the use of insurance facilities. UTSAF membership benefits include participation in congresses and meetings with support and funding by UTSAF, coordination and allocation of non-UTSAF educational opportunities and scholarships with discounts by UTSAF membership letter, legal protection of representatives and members in different countries, authorizing members and representatives to use the UTSAF logo in promotional and educational packages, participating in international exhibitions by UTSAF introducing letter, the chance to attend B2B meetings, and others spiritual and financial profits.
