EMANCIPER MAYOTTE-REUNION

The association ÉMANCIPER MAYOTTE-RÉUNION is a branch of ÉMANCIPER MAYOTTE - which has a good reputation because of their international mobility projects: the EURO project and the INEO project. The INEO project (professional integration of Mayotte's new school leavers through European mobility) is a short-term mobility project (60 days) which enables young people from Mayotte with fewer opportunities to have a unique professional experience abroad. The main objective of this project is to increase the employability of young jobseekers in Mayotte through an internship abroad as a lever for social and professional integration. Empower Unite Reach out (EURO) is an Erasmus+ project that we have set up in 2019. The project consisted in organising a youth exchange with young people from Mayotte, Lithuania, Romania and Poland. The activities consisted of training courses about subjects which concern the young people. We impelled them to think about 32 items, like discrimination, assisted suicide, abortion, self-confidence. When they had chosen an item, they had to do a presentation to the group and lead a debate on the subject. For the first part of the project, the activities took place in Poronin, Poland. In 2020, they organise it again as the EURO 2, with activities in Mayotte and Poland. Reintegrating new graduates (from high school) professionally through European mobility (INEO). We provide this mobility project to permit young people to acquire a first professional experience abroad in the sector of activity that inspires them. And increase the employability of young jobseekers from Mayotte. This project reintegrates these new graduates professionally and socially thanks to a unique experience abroad. At present, the association Émanciper Mayotte-Réunion has realised the following project: the mobility forum (2021 and 2022). The aim of the forum is to bring together the various mobility stakeholders in Réunion in order to inform the island's youth (all communities) about the possibilities available to them in terms of national and international mobility. In a context where young people are far from mobility, in order to give them the opportunity to access integration and training programs and to open up to the world. YOUTH EXCHANGE “DANCE WITH ME” The project with Norway, Reunion island, Turkey raise awareness among young people about dance as a recreational activity in their lives, with an emphasis on its positive impact for a healthier lifestyle. Interactive non-formal education methods in a multicultural context, as well as practical activities (fitness, Zumba, dancehall, traditional dances, etc.), will be used for this purpose, through which young people can learn by experimenting.
