About Organization
Hand to Help is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting young people in Egypt, helping them navigate the difficult realities they face today. In a political environment where expressing opinions can often lead to risks, many young people feel silenced, particularly when it comes to speaking out against government decisions that have negatively impacted the economy. Rising debt, inflation, and the rapid decline of the Egyptian currency have left many unable to afford basic necessities, with wages falling far short of what is needed to live a healthy and stable life. This has made it harder for youth to pursue important goals like education, maintaining their health, or even something as simple as obtaining a passport. The situation is further complicated by challenges in the healthcare and education sectors. Essential medicines are often in short supply due to ineffective policies and high taxes, while many schools struggle with a shortage of qualified teachers, as low salaries drive educators out of the profession. Unfortunately, instead of addressing these critical issues, opposition voices are often met with suppression, leaving many feeling powerless. Hand to Help recognizes that, beyond these immediate challenges, there is also a need for young people to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to advocate for their rights in a constructive, legal, and impactful way. Our mission is to empower the next generation by helping them understand their rights, express their opinions confidently, and work towards creating a better future. We believe in nurturing a generation that is not only aware of the issues but also ready to lead positive change in their communities and beyond. Through education and support, we aim to build a brighter future for Egypt, one where youth have the tools they need to shape their own lives and their society.
