About Organization
Kumagumi Brașov is a grassroots cultural and educational NGO based in Brașov, Romania, dedicated to fostering dialogue between Japanese and Romanian cultures through inclusive, community-driven initiatives. Founded by educators and cultural enthusiasts, the organization brings together people of all ages and backgrounds through creative events, language exchange, and intercultural learning experiences. Our mission is to build meaningful connections between cultures and communities by promoting understanding, cooperation, and lifelong learning. We organize regular cultural evenings, workshops, language cafés, film screenings, and educational activities that encourage dialogue and participation. Kumagumi Brașov places a strong emphasis on non-formal education, creativity, and accessibility. We are particularly interested in how digital tools and AI can support inclusive, collaborative learning in multilingual and multicultural contexts. Our programs aim to engage youth, adults, and families alike, creating safe spaces for cultural expression, skill-sharing, and civic engagement. We are open to local and international partnerships and actively seek to contribute to Erasmus+ projects focused on intercultural dialogue, community empowerment, language learning, digital education, and youth participation.
