Mancomunitat de Penyagolosa-Pobles del Nord

The Mancomunitat de Penyagolosa – Pobles del Nord is a public entity formed by four small rural municipalities in the interior of Castelló, Spain. Our youth department works to combat depopulation and social exclusion by empowering young people through non-formal education, participatory processes, and creative initiatives. We coordinate youth councils, digital literacy programmes, makerspaces, intercultural exchanges, and activities that promote democratic participation, gender equality, and rural innovation. We work closely with local schools, associations, and European partners to ensure that young people have access to meaningful opportunities despite geographical barriers. Our focus is on creating inclusive, sustainable, and community-based projects that connect local youth with European values and networks.
