About Organization
The Lithuanian Non-formal Education Agency (LINEŠA) is a national public institution under the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of Lithuania responsible for strengthening and developing non-formal education in Lithuania. We work to ensure that every child and young person can access meaningful learning opportunities outside the formal classroom and use it to their advantage. Our main areas of work include developing and supporting national non-formal network, coordinating career guidance in schools, promoting sustainability education through the Tvari mokykla 2030 agenda, managing the DofE International Award programme nationally. The agency also supports the development of STEAM education, implements educational and sports initiatives, conferences, organises camps and creates competence-building opportunities. LINEŠA helps educators, non-formal education facilitators and institutions develop practical skills for working with young people and children, from supporting disadvantaged learners to designing more engaging and inspiring non-formal activities. By connecting educators, institutions and young people, LINEŠA aims to build a stronger ecosystem for non-formal education and broaden its accessibility to young people across Lithuania.
