RISE OUT

Rise OUT is the first LGBTQIA+ association in Iași, Romania, working to strengthen and represent the local community. We provide welcoming and safer spaces for social connection, peer support, and information, with a focus on young people, trans* individuals, and those affected by discrimination or exclusion. Our activities blend community engagement with non-formal education, advocacy, and awareness initiatives centered on human rights and equality. We partner with local authorities, schools, and civil society actors to encourage inclusive practices and safer environments in areas such as health, education, and community life, while supporting well-being, sexual health literacy, and anti-stigma efforts. Rise OUT actively seeks European collaboration to co-create and implement projects on diversity and inclusion, youth empowerment, mental health, anti-violence and anti-discrimination education, civic participation, and the development of youth workers and volunteers. We are able to host initiatives in Iași and contribute expertise in facilitation, outreach to LGBTQIA+ youth, and community-led safer space development.
