Asociația OV 05

Asociația OV05 is a non-governmental organisation founded in 2018, active at the intersection of culture, education and civic engagement. OV05 designs and implements participatory projects that create spaces where communities can see themselves more clearly, express their needs and take action. Over the past seven years, OV05 has developed a practice built around non-formal education, applied theatre, community-based research and collaborative creation. Our projects bring together young people, artists, educators and local communities, particularly in small cities and rural areas with limited access to cultural and civic infrastructure. We have implemented multiple multi-year projects co-financed by the Romanian Cultural Fund (AFCN), working with schools, local authorities, NGOs and grassroots initiatives across Romania. Our work has reached thousands of direct and indirect beneficiaries through theatre performances, community screenings, workshops, residencies and public events. OV05 believes that cultural participation and civic engagement are inseparable. We create the conditions in which people can move from passive audiences to active co-creators of their communities and of the democratic life around them.
