About Organization
**Kundzia Folk Culture Association** works to preserve, promote and creatively develop Polish folk culture. The Association’s main area of activity is running the Kundzia Folk Dance Ensemble, whose artistic work combines traditional dance, singing and folk music while presenting the cultural heritage of various regions of Poland. Kundzia carries out regular artistic and educational activities for children, young people and adults. We organize dance, music and vocal classes, workshops, artistic training camps, concerts and performances, as well as educational activities introducing participants to traditional costumes, music, dances, customs and the heritage of different Polish regions. An important part of our work is creating opportunities for intergenerational integration and encouraging young people to actively participate in culture. The Ensemble represents its local community at cultural events, festivals and celebrations both in Poland and abroad. Throughout its many years of activity, Kundzia has performed hundreds of concerts and participated in numerous international festivals, cultural meetings and exchanges in many countries across Europe and beyond. International cooperation remains one of the Association’s key areas of development. We establish partnerships with foreign folk groups, cultural organizations and institutions, develop joint projects and work towards organizing reciprocal visits, youth exchanges and international artistic initiatives. Our activities go beyond presenting ready-made stage performances. Through workshops, folk culture lessons, meetings with local communities and various grassroots initiatives, we aim to make traditional culture accessible, engaging and relevant to contemporary audiences. We place particular emphasis on working with children and young people, as we want folklore to be more than simply a part of history for future generations. We want it to remain a living culture that they can discover, experience, contribute to and develop themselves. The Association cooperates with local authorities, schools, cultural institutions, non-governmental organizations, local communities and international partners. We implement and develop projects in the fields of culture, education, social integration, youth engagement and international cooperation. We also seek new ways of using traditional folk culture as a tool for building relationships between people, communities, regions and countries. At the same time, we continuously develop the organization itself by expanding our educational offer, building new children’s and youth groups, developing our folk music and vocal activities, attracting new participants and preparing new projects at local, national and international levels. Our goal is to preserve the heritage of Polish folk culture, pass it on to future generations and demonstrate that tradition can remain alive, engaging and relevant today. We aim to combine respect for authentic folklore with education, social integration, international dialogue and the active participation of young people in culture.
