About Organization
Open Score Youth Collective is an informal group of young people based in Istanbul, Turkey, founded in September 2026. We are preparing an Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange titled "The Pentatonic Mind – An Inclusive Space for Participation, Communication Confidence and Non-Verbal Expression." The 7-day exchange targets young people aged 18–26 who face barriers to international and local participation due to language anxiety, low communication confidence, or past experiences of exclusion. The programme uses rhythm- and sound-based non-formal education methods that require no musical background: from the first hour, every participant can make an audible contribution to the group, regardless of prior experience. We are looking for a host partner in Portugal (Centro or Norte region) with experience hosting KA152 or similar mobility projects, and two additional partner organisations working with young people who face communication or inclusion barriers. No musical expertise is required from partners — youth work experience and commitment to inclusion are what we are looking for. The project's main output is a multilingual, open-licensed (CC BY-SA) Workshop Guide on non-verbal communication, intended for youth workers and peer facilitators. Planned activity period: first half of September 2027.
