Mehmet Akif Secondary School EU Club

We have some interested teachers in preparing these kinds of projects. We participate in courses and seminars about EU projects. Mehmet Akif Secondary School consists of 2 buildings. The number of teachers is nearly 60, and that of the students is nearly 1200. The school stands in the city of Erbaa, which is a county of the province, Tokat. It is in the mid-Black Sea Region. Our school is experienced in doing European Union projects. We currently have 2 projects. One of them is a Comenius School Partnership Project: In this project, we have 5 partner schools throughout the Europe. They are schools from Poland, Romania, Germany, Greece and Italy. The name of the projects is “Let’s Have A Culture Break in Europe”. In this project we aim to establish a cultural cooperation and collaboration among the partners. The other project is a Youth in Action one. The name of the project is “Health is Wealth”. Our partners in the project are a group of young people from Italy. Its aim is to fight against the obesity problem. We are going to run the activities in an active way. We won’t be a simplepartner in the project , we will have an active role in disseminating the results of the projects. We will share our experiences with the youth in our region and in our country. Because the target group of our project is completely the young people. So we believe that our project will contribute a lot to the social and cultural development of the young people in all the partner countries. We aim that this project will help the young to decide on their future life plans. So we give great importance to guide the young about having beneficial experiences about life.
