CEZAM youth public institution

CEZAM was established in the year 2000 by the municipality of Ruše, near Slovenia’s second largest city Maribor. CEZAM is considered a public institution; it has 17 employees and an annual turnover of around one million Euros. CEZAM has its own concert hall with a seating capacity of 300, and it is equipped with state of the art sound and lighting technology for music, dance and theatre performances. Within our institution is also a sports park, a swimming pool, sauna, a gym, bowling and a coffee shop. The main activities of the CEZAM institution are: The organization of events for young people, an information centre offering advice on health, employment, scholarships and internships; volunteer work, non-governmental organizations, travel, youth tourism, human rights, information facilities which include internet, brochures and publications, club activities, exhibitions, festivals, dance classes, employment, musical theatre dance workshops, video and creative workshops, research work for young people, workshops for other interests , international youth work, international exchanges, finding opportunities for young people with fewer chances, as well as the quality use of leisure time for young people. Annually we produce around 240 events, which are seen by some 20.000 visitors. We are also the organizer of the two biggest festivals – FLOR, the Festival Summer Stage Ruše Festival and Kantfest the International Singer-Songwriter's Festival.
