Ideaction

The non-profit organization "Ideaction" is founded in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria in 2012. It is a continuator of the non-official art group Ideaction, founded in 2009 by 6 students of the Veliko Tarnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius". The members of the organization believe that art and culture are vital, constructive elements of each community. Ideaction aims to contribute to increasing the quality and diversity of cultural events, as well as the public interest towards them. The organization is also seeking to support and develop cultural life in less populated areas and small towns, arrange cultural exchange, increase the opportunity of artist to perform in front of public as well as to popularize new forms of art and culture. Since 2009 until now, the organization has fulfilled projects (“Step by Step to the Success” – three editions of art management seminars, “Pull the Curtain – I Can’t See Anything” - an exhibition and a performance, “Taralej – club for cultural initiatives” - two editions) in cooperation with many national organizations and institutions. The projects have been funded by the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo, Tourist agency “Tcarevgrad Tarnov EOD”, Student Counsel of the University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. Cyril and St. Methodius” , National fund “Kultura” , Fund "Art Office" and association "Terra Altera". The organization is currently working on a project called "Taralej - club for cultural initiatives". The project has been funded twice by the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo fund for “Innovative Cultural Projects”. The main goal of the project is to develop and popularize art and culture activities in Veliko Tarnovo. This goal will be achieved through a space that generates various artistic and cultural events. This space is attractive center for people interested in arts. This club carries out a wide range of artistic events: exhibitions, festivals, concerts, recitals, theater plays, dances, film shows. Many artists receive the possibility to introduce themselves and show their art in front of the public. This space is a stage, a meeting point and a territory for cooperation of recognized artists as well as debutants. There are also art courses and workshops, organized for kids and people of all ages, seminars, lectures, literature readings and art plein-airs. The Club Taralej is located at the architectural and ethnographic complex Samovodska Charshia. The place is a landmark of Veliko Tarnovo and of the country and has an active and authentic artistic live. The club enriches the place with its various innovative ideas and activities. "Ideaction" has organized several festivals such as: "12 hours art", "Street Artists", "Night of Samovodska Charshia", sympozium of "Ice Sculpture" which gathered many people and diversified the cultural activites in the town. The Club Taralej contributes to the development of cultural tourism in the city and for increasing the citizens’ interest in culture and art. Thanks to its activities, the club contributes to decentralization of the cultural events in Bulgaria. The team of the organization desires to expand and enrich its projects and activities. We are looking for partners from abroad in order to develop creative cooperation and international dimension.
