CAI - Conversas Associação Internacional

CAI is a recent association but whose founding members are key professionals involved in social intervention, as drug prevention projects focused in the nightlife settings working both with target population as with stakeholders (industry, staff other actors). Education both no-formal and informal, and community intervention. Some of them are experienced trainers in areas as social intervention and health and drug Addiction, Human rights children rights, and social street work methodology for Youth workers. Also they have had an extensive experience in direct work with young people on several contexts and Youth workers. CAI is the organization umbrella for the Theatre Group Holofote which works with interactive and Forum methodologies on training settings with adult, professionals and youth with fewer opportunities and theirs youth workers. To achieve its aims CAI proposes namely: a) Promote and participate in social experimentation and innovation in the fight against poverty and social exclusion promoting human rights and the children's rights; b) Build and support local, national and international actors of social intervention networks; c) Promote the social street work and social street workers, social participation and community development; d) Promote social intervention programs; e) Implement training and vocational training programs, creating and maintaining centres where these programs take place and with psychosocial support; f) Develop parent education and family support activities, and family (re) integration, social and professional integration; g) Assist the implementation of local, national and international strategies to promote gender equality and protection of discriminated populations; h) Collaborate and / or promote cultural and sporting activities; i) Develop consultancy, supervision, and evaluation of projects programs; j) Develop studies and promote research and analysis of issues implicit in the practice of association;
