Fundacja po DRUGIE

The po DRUGIE foundation (FpD) is a nationwide foundation which deals with teenagers at risk of social exclusion, pathology and helplessness. In particular, pupils from correctional facilities. One of its priorities is prevention and intervention in the field of juvenile parenting. Since 2012, foundation is implementing the project “When I become a mom/dad...” which is addressed to the girls and boys from correctional facilities. The aim of the project is to protect youngsters from early and accidentally becoming a parent and also learning correct parenthood attitudes (it should be remembered that the group involved in the project is usually deprived of right family patterns, live in dysfunctional families – poverty, additions, imprisonment etc.) As a part of the activities young people take part in theoretical classes (contraception, risky sexual behavior, pregnancy, alcohol during pregnancy, economic education, etc..) and in the practical part – each participant is supposed to look after the special doll imitating the real child behavior (care lasts 3 days 24 hours a day). The project already involved more than 600 people from Poland and was awarded the Grand Prix in the competition for the best non-governmental initiative in Warsaw 2013. “Secondly” also carried out videos about the project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCAagPOSVh8 It implements also the project "I want to be with you MOM!" which goal is to create place for mothers with children in correctional facilities (the activity was funded by the S.
