TRES Social

TRES Social is an organization born in 2010, committed with community development processes through no formal education and social theater. It is composed by a team of professionals in the fields of anthropology, education and political sciences, developing its own methodology by an interdisciplinary focus. We work in three main areas: training of trainers, social intervention and social awareness, focusing on the inclusion of a crosscutting gender and human rights perspective in political agenda. Our priority collectives are: women, youths, immigrants and elders. From an organizational point of view, TRES Social is structured as a no lucrative association, with a coordination group elected by the general assembly, of associated members. Since 2010 we develop processes of political organization of informal groups through social theater. Concretely, we use mainly Forum-Theater and Image Theater to bring a group through a long term development of social and political skills that allow them to create an organized and collective reply to structural violence they live in their daily life. In this sense, theater is not a tool for public entertainment nor awareness, but a powerful tool of political training for the group of actors. Thanks to a social-affective educative focus that involves mind, body and emotion in an integral way, the group can live the entire process of being actors of a social transformation process.
