Channel Crossings

Channel Crossings is an experienced education and training provider. The main scope of our project activities is to support and develop innovative forms of education, increase adaptability and promote active attitude towards further education across various age, social and professional target groups. Channel Crossings offers favourable conditions for efficient learning of the ageing population, persons caring for dependent family members, teachers, pupils and adult learners. We have developed and implemented several training programmes in the field of foreign languages, ICT and professional development. We also focus on support of blended learning programmes, implemntation of CLIL (content and language integrated learning) and use of ICT and innovative learning methods in learning and teaching processes. We also develop cross-sectoral cooperation, support employability of people with fewer opportunities and help employers to implement flexible working conditions and cloud technologies into their organisations. The project portfolio of Channel Crossings includes international and national projects focused on different target groups: INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS “FIT FOR FLEXI” (, ESF) www.fitforflexi.cz This project was focused on transnational transfer of innovations in the field of promotion and implementation of flexible working time arrangements “Active Generation 50+” (, Grundtvig partnership) www.age50plus.eu The main focus was on age management and identification of tools and methods aimed at extending the activity period of people aged 50+. “Modern University in Modern Europe (, LdV TOI)” www.mume.eu International transfer of innovation in the field of vocational education for people with extensive professional experience employed in public sector “Innovative Learning Methods in Adult Education” (, Grundtvig multilateral) www.ilmae.eu The aim of the multilateral project was to develop the most interesting methods that positively increase learning impact and motivation of adult learners and to implement them into the course that is included in Comenius-Grundtvig database. “IDEAS” (Intercultural Dialogue to Develop a European Identity Among European Member States, , Grundtvig partnership) This project searched for cultural similarities through differences and the utilisation of cultural components in the teaching of languages as a way of uniting people and learning the language without forgetting the cultural dimension. “Learning Educators” (, Grundtvig partnership) The aim of this project was to study and exchange the best teaching methods of the European Language Portfolio in different EU countries “An Intercultural Approach to Learning Foreign and Second Languages in Europe” (, Grundtvig partnership) This project was designed to promote intercultural education within the concept of formal and non-formal lifelong learning and to share experiences and ideas on language teaching approaches.
