Association SloMo

Association for sustainable development SLOMO is located in Litija, Slovenia. SLOMO is a mix of experience and expertise in fields of permaculture, global learning, project management, facilitation, digital design, social activism etc. We focus on changing our paradigms of sustainability, by questioning our concepts on what sustainability, development, our educational goals and social change are. Our work and methods we use go beyond the current sustainable development goals (SDGs). Sustainability is only possible if we rethink all of our actions, our habits and start changing our narrative. Our mission is to facilitate the transformation for the well-being of our community. We are also on a mission to nourish and encourage values which often stay forgotten: diversity, equality, empathy, respect, solidarity and honesty. By enabling reconnection with oneself, community and our planet, we are installing back hope and action for a better tomorrow. Together we create programs and projects using basic principles of Permaculture: care for Earth, care for people and fair share. In addition, we are bringing the international dimension to our community endeavors. HOW can we contribute and cooperate? By already having experience in international projects and seeing what a great impact they have on our community (especially the learning part, the exchange and motivation part), we would like to open up even more and cooperate with different actors which work with similar topics as we do. We would like to cooperate as partners in strategic partnerships, exchanges of good practices, capacity building projects, trainings and similar. The topics we work on and are interested cooperating in: permaculture, global education, deep ecology, sustainable development, diversity and intercultural topics, critical thinking, spiritual awareness, eco-building, nonviolent communication, local community development projects, graphic harvesting and visual facilitation, photography and similar.
