B-e School Project

The "B-e School Project" was born out of an idea of a 10 year old girl from Greece who was looking for an environment to play freely. The first idea seemed excellent and we developed it into an attractive and creative proposal where children themselves determine how to set up their "play school? " game. And the rules governing it. We, as adults, all we provide is a suitable environment (an indoor convenient space and outdoors in nature) to discover their interests and express themselves freely through play and interaction, following their special interests,thereby developing quite naturally, their particular inclinations. Principles of operation The children participate voluntarily and optionally in activities The operating rules of the B-e School are to be shaped jointly with adults Participation is open and free for children from 3-103 years old! The way of the council by the participants, is the main educational tool Children of all age ranges are free to organize their own workshops or action clubs and engage in mutual learning activities and teamwork learning . Thus through the Be School Project, the participants have the chance and the opportunity to just learn what interests them, from other children or adult mentors, in a wide range of objects (courses) as dance, theater, photography and cinema, painting, pottery, handicrafts, calligraphy, bookbinding, chess, woodworking, robotics, computers, music, gardening, cooking, sports such as cycling, swimming, foreign languages, etc. Presentation Given the specific nature and the innovative character of this program, there will be an initial briefing for those parents, children and teachers interested in learning more about the principles and the benefits of self-directed learning and free play, in the form of a workshop, where the participants are invited to " unlearn "and abandon the given ideas and actions about education, in order to engage in a transformative process that offers an open field of exploration and discovery, without tight curriculum and with the element of surprise constantly present.
