Kinoklub Karlovac

Kinoklub Karlovac started as a video club within the Gymnasium in Karlovac established by a handful of enthusiast led by professor Damir Jelić in June 1999. Kinoklub was founded with the aim to remove children from the street and the film was a perfect excuse for it. Today Kinoklub Karlovac functions in 4 different, but intervened ways: a) teaching primary and high school children how to make films b) maintaining the regular cinema programs in the premises of "Micro-cinema” established in March 2007. c) "Low production filmmaking" – for its own needs or in collaboration with successful local businesses d) Establishment of its own international festival of high school film: Four River Film Festival
