EcoHab

EcoHab was then founded to encourage ecological friendly habits of people towards the environment. EcoHab has three main goals which is a response to the important issues identified in the society as a whole during a baseline survey that was completed in September 2016. Environmental sanitation; we promote environmental sanitation by Sensitizing schools on environmental hygiene and sanitation and good waste management practices, Orientation of hospitals on medical waste management and Organization of public clean up campaigns. We also promote ecological farming in communities through Public sensitization on the advantages of ecological farming and Capacity building in communities on the construction of composting plants for the production of organic manure for use in agriculture. Finally EcoHab is into Climate change and under this activity, we carry out Research on the role of urban forestry in climate change mitigation and we carry out Public sensitization on climate change (causes, effects, and adaptation and mitigation measures).
