FILARMÓNICA IDANHENSE

Our mission: The Idanhense Philharmonic continues, in particular, the following attributions: 1. Promote the cultural development of the Municipality with cultural and artistic actions, with a particular focus on music, theater and dance, with a view to creating cultural value and creating new audiences in the territory; 2. Promote artistic education so that it arrives, free of charge, to all inhabitants of the Municipality, especially young people of school age; 3.Promote social support through its Organizational Units with this assignment, in order to support the seniors in all the parishes of the County through practices of active ageing; 4. Promote the realization of research, collection and preservation of musicality and traditions in the Municipality of Idanha-a-Nova; 5. Cooperate with public and private institutions and participate in national or international cooperation activities, namely by participating in consortia, networks and other forms of joint work. We provide a wide range of inputs to projects such as: - Sharing of European Cultural Heritage; - Participation in the creation of adapted solutions; - Exploitation and promotion of the project’s results. Within our organisation, we have experienced EU Project specialists working on the above inputs and also language teachers, web designers, training & development professionals etc. to support other areas of a project. Our team is very multidisciplinary. Although we are all volunteers, we will give 100% of our expertise in the projects where we get involved. The Idanhense Philharmonic is a non-profit association voluntarily run by Women and Men from civil society. The governing bodies are elected by the General Assembly of the Philharmonic for periods of 3 calendar years. The Idanhense Philharmonic is currently the only Institution of this kind in the Municipality of Idanha-a-Nova, being composed of more than 30 Musicians. In addition to the Executives framework, this Centennial Institution has 17 members in the Social Bodies. Our team base currently has a number of young people with experience in Team Management, The entire group of the Idanhense Philharmonic have more than 50 members, ranging in age from 8 to 80, with 80% ranging in age from 13 to 25.
