Association for Defending Children's Rights and Dignity "Wyspa" in Chorzów has been working for children from poor, pathological and at risk of social exclusion families for 30 years in Chorzów. From the very beginning, we help children and provide them with decent development conditions. Nowadays we run workshops, help them with learning, we provide tham a hot meal. We also implement our own year-round projects - e.g. ˙"Academy of Positive Patterns -" ISSUED "or" International Academy of Skills and holiday actions - "a penny for Creative holidays" and "And in the winter the hearts are hot". We organize joint meetings with our partners from Ukraine, Germany and the Netherlands, co-financed by PNWM, PURWM and Inter. Bauorden. During projects, participants take part in various thematic workshops, help us in pedagogical work for children, acquiring at the same time many useful competences, they also carry out renovation works as part of volunteering. ˙ For 30 years of its activity, "Wyspa" has brought up several generations of creative, confident in its value and ambitious people. Thanks to the opportunity provided by our association to break free from stagnation and pathology, they are now aware citizens and good people. Objectives of the "Island" Society: - raising children and young people in a spirit of goodness and love, - raising children and young people for democracy, - care, patronage of volunteers working for children and young people - protection of children's rights, ad hoc assistance to children disadvantaged, - organization of international exchange, assistance to non-governmental organizations from Ukraine, - organization of free time and leisure for children and youth
