Associazione Popoli Insieme ODV

Associazione Popoli Insieme started its activities in 1990 as a non-profit organization working with refugees within integration projects. The main goal of the association is achieving true integration between people and communities. We see an inestimable value in the diversity of races and cultures. Associazione Popoli Insieme ODV is a member of Astalli Center and of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Network. It deals with welcoming and accompanying refugees and asylum seekers in the territory of Padua, Italy. Since its founding, volunteers have been paying attention to migrants and have been working in favor of those in need. Our areas of concern are: - awareness events in the schools - educational projects in the city - first and second welcoming and support of asylum seekers and refugees in Padua. Nowadays the association is made of both volunteers (around 50 every year) and employees who deal with legal and health assistance, training and integration programs. Furthermore, the Association increased its activities aimed to grow awareness among local community, especially students (schools) and youth.
