POETRY TOGETHER will be a project about learning some important American and English poets and their most important works. In this technology-dominated era, teenagers are not much interested in poetry and don’t know much about very important poets, but poetry is one of the best genres of art to feed the soul and outburst feelings. In this project, we will not only explore important poets and their works but also learn how to translate poems to other languages and even write poems in English. We will also translate famous poems of our own countries into English and get to know more about our partners’ cultures. Moreover, we will stress media literacy, web 2.0 tools, and e-Twining values, too. In this context, we will do activities such as organizing the most creative poster competition, reading the poets of the month together an organization or the best poet reader and writer competitions among us. We will teach about media literacy and internet usage(web 2.0 tools)as well. Our aims are, To raise students’ interests in poetry and famous poets and also the poets of their own countries, To help students learn how to translate poems, To make presentations in English with self-confidence To realize the community in art in all cultures To motivate students to take an active part in group work To perform in front of people with self-confidence And to encourage students to use technology, web 2.0 tools Our project will start in October 2021 and end in April 2021. In October and November; we will choose our project partners, and together we will enrich our project topics and make a detailed plan of the project. We will introduce ourselves, our schools, our cities, and our countries on online meetings and also on twin space pages. We will make a logo and poster contest about our project to make a productive and cooperative start. In December, our students will make a presentation about the poet of the month. In January, our students will design an online magazine about the most famous American and English poets. In February, our students will make surveys and interviews at school about some poets and how much the students know about them. And then analyze and evaluate the results of the surveys. In March, each partner will translate some famous poems of their own country into English, and we will choose the best by organizing an online competition In April, we'll make the project exhibition.
