Roma T.E.A.M Association is a non-governmental organization founded by young roma people after their intervention in various activities in vulnerable communities. The initiative was born when they realized that a different approach is needed in terms of involving young people in the process of development of society. The young founders believe that investing in the personal development process of children and young people from vulnerable communities, especially roma, is a necessity for romanian society, a society with a high degree of ageing. The mission of the association is to increase the level of involvement in the development process of society by promoting the participation of young people in the decision-making process regarding the social inclusion of disadvantaged populations at local, county, national and international level. The Roma T.E.A.M. Association was established following the identification of needs at local level in terms of the educational perspective of students in schools from rural areas from Romania. Initially through the implementation of a mentoring project, we aimed to bring a new generation of roma and non-roma children and youth to face with a generation of activists, beneficiaries of affirmative action, who have achieved professional and personal fulfilment in society and have succeeded in becoming agents of change in the stereotypical mentalities of the majority population towards members of roma and non-roma communities. The Roma T.E.A.M members wants to be part of the lives of young roma and non-roma people, paving the way for a more positive and inclusive future! Working in a civil society organization gives you the opportunity to use alternatives other than formal ones in solving the identified problems. For us as young people from traditional roma communities we can consider it the perfect space where you can develop as an individual and in turn help others to become aware of the skills, they have but don't use. This is why we believe that within the organization we can support young people to become who they really are and bring out their best and in turn become agents of change in their communities. Our work field include, but is not limited to the following: • Implement local and international projects, exchanges, training courses, conferences, events, festivals; • The growth of computer and language skills, as well as career retraining through qualification courses, as well as the development of competences held through specialization and improvement courses, are prioritized within the training activities with the roma young people. • Create strategies and plans for human resources to keep and integrate disadvantaged individuals into the workforce. The association's efforts in this regard are based on the knowledge and expertise that its members have gained via the implementation of pre- and post-accession financed projects, seminars, debates, conferences, and public manifestation over a period of more than 7 years. • Create initiatives and campaigns for digitalization and ITC learning, environmental protection, cultural preservation, ecotourism, tourism, ecological and artistic education, and the promotion of European Union principles. • Develop up and produce educational materials on mental health and wellbeing in vulnerable communities. We are active in the field of youth and adult education as hosts, but also as partners of different kind of projects. ROMA T.E.A.M is part of a consortium of organizations that supports the implementation of strategies dedicated to vulnerable communities, especially roma comunities. We are also partners with the Romanian Ministry of European Funds in a programme that aims to share activities and opportunities made available by the European Union; The key for us is to work on both local and worldwide projects, and we attempt to cover a wide range of themes and issues based on the demands of our target audience. We prioritize youth involvement, intercultural understanding, active citizenship, youth entrepreneurship, sport, healthy lifestyle and emotional health, community development, e-learning, cultural heritage and environmental protection, digitalization and ITC learning. We hope that our efforts will demonstrate the transforming power of collective action, compassion, and belief in the potential of each individual, opening doors of opportunity and breaking down obstacles; The activities of the organization are based on the approach of non-formal education, experiential and intercultural learning, social inclusion and active participation;
