PIA

PIA is an independent school for contemporary visual arts and curatorial studies, in which artists and curators work in tandem on the formalization of works and exhibitions. Although differentiated methods are adopted, in the philosophy of PIA artists and curators are invited to work in tandem towards common projects and collaborations , including the final exhibition of the course. In addition to specialized theoretical training, PIA gives the opportunity to meet and submit one's research to professionals in the sector, including curators, artists and gallery owners, with constant 'checking' and support on one's work. The actions and the network made available by PIA aim at the theoretical and formal improvement of the participants' work , without neglecting the communication aspects of the projects : from the portfolio to the archiving tools; from the documentation of the works to the drafting of the statement .
