It is a state institution dependent to the Ministry of Education and in charge of the planning and coordination of all kinds of educational and training activities in pre-school, primary, secondary and adult education in Ortahisar District. Not contenting itself with its present successand the present quality of its education, OMEM, supplying this success and quality with international, national and local projects and being in a struggle for the sustainable quality and success, is a big team, clinching its title ‘A Model District in Education’ as the day goes on. Our directorate is responsible for planning, programming, executing, inspecting, developing, and evaluating the education and training services in Ortahisar District. It oversees many Primary Schools, High/Elementary Schools, Kindergartens, 2 Training Application Centers, 1 Public Education Centre, 1 Counselling and Research Center, Special-Need Education Centres, Science and Art Centres.
