Asociacion Cultural Casa Desvio

An organization led by young people from diverse regions of the world (North America, South America, Asia, and Europe), Casa Desvío is committed to promoting multicultural dialogue and the democratization of the arts through training programs and artistic creation for local communities. Over the past four years, we have conducted workshops in performing arts, urban dance, biodance, circus, and yoga, with the majority of participants aged between 17 and 40. Additionally, we have hosted over 10 artistic residencies and launched the first Itinerant Festival of Performing Arts in La Zubia. Our professional team, comprising members from Austria, Argentina, Spain, Mexico, France, and Turkey, makes Casa Desvío a truly multicultural center. Since 2023, the organization has developed three European projects focused on performing arts, cultural heritage preservation, and integrating the arts into natural environments. These initiatives aim to highlight local culture, raise awareness about environmental challenges, internationalize our work, and build strategic alliances. The Projects: 1. Detour to Nature (ESC30-SOL): This project offered artistic and cultural activities in natural and public spaces to strengthen community bonds, promote neighborhood engagement with the local environment, and encourage youth participation in La Zubia. 2. Heritage Stewardship (K220YOU): In collaboration with organizations from Portugal, Romania, Croatia, and Spain, this project addressed employability, social inclusion, and cohesion through intercultural education and exploration of Europe’s natural and cultural heritage. 3. Cultural Horizons (KA154): Focused on building a local and neighborhood community committed to youth cooperation, this project decentralized Granada’s artistic offerings.
