MJC Confluence

Democracy is something that happens on a daily basis, and the MJC contributes to local development by running centres for experimentation and social innovation that meet the expectations of local residents. The activities and services of the MJC promote initiative, responsibility and citizenship. The MJC's educational work with and for young people is an essential part of its mission. The Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture is open to all without discrimination. It promotes friendly relations between the participants. It respects personal convictions, the pluralism of ideas and the principles of secularism, which are the basis of republican values. It helps to strengthen social bonds. The MJC encourages the transfer of knowledge and experience between generations and promotes cultural expressions and practices for the whole population. It works in partnership with local and regional authorities and its environment (schools, associations, committees, trade unions, etc.). A driving force behind proposals, the Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture works in the general interest. It is a place of social mediation.
