Lysistrate MTÜ

Lysistrate NGO was established in 2023 by two experienced female project managers with a vision of creating a more socially just, inclusive, and connected world—one where individuals from less privileged backgrounds are empowered to create opportunities for themselves. The organization leverages its expertise to uplift socio-economically vulnerable groups, with a special focus on female empowerment and sustainability. We unite individuals and organizations that share this vision and serve as a platform for beneficiaries who want to make a difference but may feel uncertain about where to start or how to seek guidance. Our slogan, "From Empowerment to Action," reflects our commitment to embodied learning and personal development, equipping our beneficiaries to take decisive action and realize their vision. On a local level, we serve as a platform for cooperation among various stakeholders. Our initiatives foster local participation in entrepreneurship, inclusivity, and active citizenship within a diverse society. These activities enable young people to work together to create impactful initiatives locally while connecting globally, fostering democracy and a sense of belonging from an early age. Internationally, our purpose is to create opportunities for youth through European and extra-European mobility, including intercultural exchanges. We are active in several international networks focused on social rights, social impact, leadership, and intercultural cooperation, and we coordinate international volunteer activities across Estonia. Lysistrate NGO implements a range of project-based activities, training programs, capacity-building initiatives, voluntary projects, and local volunteering opportunities. Our main target groups include youth, young women, and marginalized communities, as well as youth workers, leaders, and managers interested in addressing social and environmental challenges. Although based in Tallinn, our activities span nationally across Estonia, internationally across the Baltics, and globally through our extensive networks.
