Dům dětí a mládeže hlavního města Prahy (House of Children and Youth in Prague)

We are a faculty facility of the Faculty of Education of Charles University. We are the largest leisure facility in the Czech Republic with a tradition since 1950. We offer over 500 clubs, studios, courses and sections for all age categories. By focusing on regular activities, we satisfy even the most demanding ones. This is evidenced by the increasing number of interested parties every year. We provide education for preschoolers through centers for preschool children. We also organize clubs and camps for this age category. We organize a large number of events for the public: theater, singing or dance performances and shows, exhibitions, trips, competitions, celebrations of annual holidays. We organize around 150 camps of all types and focuses for all age categories for more than 3,000 interested parties per year. We also focus on educational and teaching programs and courses for students and teachers of primary and secondary schools. We coordinate and organize international activities (youth exchanges). We participate in exchange stays, the purpose of which is to bring together two groups of children/students, where they are all accommodated together and complete a prepared program. One year we host in Prague, the next year we travel abroad. This is a great opportunity to spend a week in an international environment and practice foreign languages. We are currently implementing the annual exchange stay Prague - Bonn and are also looking for other opportunities and partner organizations abroad. For several years now, we have been successfully organizing very popular field competitions (science Olympiads, POPRASK...).
