Laisvoda is a young non-governmental organization based in Kaunas, Lithuania, founded on July 2, 2025, by a team with backgrounds in non-formal education, sociology, and journalism. Our team members have gained extensive practical experience through their involvement in various NGOs, volunteering projects, and active participation in local and civic initiatives. We position ourselves as a youth-oriented organization that works with young people and for young people. Our main mission is to address social and community needs by empowering young people through non-formal education. We aim to strengthen youth initiative, active citizenship, and entrepreneurial mindset, while increasing their employability, career opportunities, and chances for a dignified and sustainable life. Our activities also focus on sustainability and well-being, including environmental protection, ecological awareness, and care for future generations. We promote physical and mental health, healthy lifestyles, cultural and language education, creativity, leadership, tolerance, independent thinking, media literacy, digital competencies, and a strong understanding of human rights and freedoms. We see international youth mobility and cooperation as a key tool to achieve our goals, particularly through active participation in the Erasmus+ programme and other international initiatives. We strongly believe that international exchanges, partnerships, and intercultural learning significantly enhance educational processes, support the personal development of young people and youth workers, and strengthen the organizational capacity of our young organization. Main areas of activity: • supporting the holistic development of local communities, grassroots initiatives, NGOs, and social economy actors; • non-formal education for young people and adults, including the development, implementation, and promotion of innovative educational methods; • international and cross-sectoral cooperation in the field of education, including international exchanges and mobility projects; • supporting initiatives aimed at equal opportunities for disadvantaged groups and individuals at risk of social exclusion (including minorities, refugees, migrants, and young people from marginalized backgrounds); • research, analytical, and information activities; • promotion and organization of volunteering; • development of digital competencies and responsible digital transformation; • environmental education and activities related to nature protection and sustainability; • activities in the field of culture and arts, talent support, and promotion of cultural diversity and heritage; • organization of leisure, sports, tourism, and recreational activities for young people; • supporting young people in career orientation, skills development, internships, training, and counseling; • promoting youth participation and active civic engagement.
