Climedia

Climedia is a science outreach and expert training agency dedicated to improving understanding of climate change and environmental issues by making scientific knowledge accessible, reliable, and actionable for a wide range of audiences. Climedia develops science-based resources, educational activities, and training programmes for diverse audiences, including public authorities, private organizations, civil society actors, educational institutions, young people, and the general public. Its activities include: - Lectures and conferences, providing scientific and socio-economic perspectives on climate change and sustainability, illustrated with concrete examples at global, regional, and local scales. - Participatory workshops, designed to address the complexity of environmental issues, encourage dialogue, and develop critical thinking and collective reflection. - Scientific outreach and non-formal education activities, including games, experiments, and interactive tools, aimed at fostering scientific curiosity, climate literacy, and critical thinking, particularly among young people. - Climate services and consulting, offering expertise and methodological guidance to produce decision-support climate information, such as territorial climate diagnostics, carbon footprint assessments, and climate risk analyses. All projects are designed to be interactive, science-based, and adapted to the context of each audience. For young people, the focus is on scientific literacy, critical thinking skills, and empowerment, as well as on fostering a sense of connection to the natural environment in order to support long-term engagement and pro-environmental behaviors. For institutional and professional audiences, Climedia’s interventions aim to support the integration of climate and environmental considerations into strategic thinking, public policy, and organizational decision-making processes. Climedia is an independent activity operating within the cooperative CAE Coopaname. It is available to contribute to projects by providing scientific expertise, science outreach, and education services in the fields of climate change, environmental issues, and ecological transition.
