Båstads kommun

The youth services in Båstad are part of the local public sector on the Swedish west coast in southern Sweden. They run youth centres in Båstad and Förslöv, welcoming around 100 visitors per week aged 13–19. The centres provide safe, inclusive, and supportive environments where young people can spend their free time, take part in activities, and influence the content of the centres. Activities include creative projects, social events, and cooking and baking together. The work focuses on participation, democratic values, and young people’s well-being, and is carried out in close cooperation with schools, local associations, and social services to support young people’s personal and social development.
